With the abundance of textual information that is now available in machine-readable form, know-how in Natural Language Processing (NLP) is becoming increasingly relevant for many projects. This can include extraction of information (eg terminology) from text databases (so-called corpora), or even the compilation of special-purpose text collections which are to be analysed to find out more about style and usage of language.
Phrasys has access to both theoretical knowledge and practical experience in NLP and text processing. Consultancies can either be in the form of general advice (eg during the planning stages of a project) or custom development of software (eg systems based on the Phrasys NLP components). Payment can either be in form of an hourly rate or a negotiable fixed amount.
Phrasys is based in Birmingham, UK. This somewhat limits face-to-face consultancies to an area between about London and Manchester, but advice is also available in form of written reports or via email.
